Wisconsin Rapids-area voters guide for the Feb. 17 primary election

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Here’s your guide to races in the Feb. 17 primary election in the Wisconsin Rapids area. The polls will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

A few area residents will see a primary election in their district on Tuesday to help set the ballot for the April 7 spring election. Only voters in Wood County’s District 9, or a section of the county northwest of Wisconsin Rapids, including the village of Vesper, town of Hansen, portions of the towns of Seneca and Sigel, and a small section of the city of Wisconsin Rapids, will find ballots waiting for them at their regular polling location.

Here’s the list of primary races for Wisconsin Rapids-area voters:

Wood County Board, District 9

Voters in District 9, or the entire village of Vesper and the town of Hansen, and portions of the city of Wisconsin Rapids, town of Seneca, and town of Sigel, will choose the top two out of three candidates for County Board supervisor to appear on the spring ballot. Wood County Board members serve two-year terms and all 19 seats are up for election in 2026.
