The Iowa DOT says I-35 northbound between NE 126th Avenue and Iowa 210 will close from 9 p.m. Tuesday, February 17 till 5 a.m. Wednesday, February 18. The southbound lane of I-35 will then close from 9 p.m. on February 18 till 5 a.m. Thursday, February 19.

During the closure, vehicles will travel a marked route using Iowa 210 onto U.S. 69, and then turn onto NE 126th Avenue, where they will regain access to I-35.
The Iowa DOT says crews will be continuing ongoing construction from the fall and will be installing bridge beams across I-35 at 158th Avenue.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seatbelts.
