South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster has given his support for naming the future Interstate 73 in honor of President Donald Trump.
«I think that’s a terrific idea,» he said during a Feb. 10 news briefing.
In January, eight state House lawmakers signed on to introduce a concurrent resolution to name the interstate the «President Donald J. Trump Highway.» The proposal has not yet moved to the state Senate.

The planned interstate would run through Marlboro, Dillon, Marion, and Horry counties and lead to the Myrtle Beach area.
Horry County Council has endorsed the idea of naming the road after Trump.
Now McMaster has, too.
