Two Shreveport Police Officers are recovering Wednesday morning following a possible fentanyl exposure.
Shreveport Police Department was serving an arrest warrant Feb. 11 in the 2000 block of Grimmett Drive when an officer began showing signs of possible fentanyl exposure. Narcan was administered.
Several minutes later, a second officer began exhibiting symptoms as well. Both officers were transported to the hospital for observation.
According to the police department, both officers are doing well and are remaining in good spirits.
The Shreveport Police Department said it extends its sincere appreciation to its Fire Department partners for their rapid response and continued support.
Shreveport Police Narcotics and HazMat units are continuing to work to ensure the area is safe.
