Rapper Cardi B is facing a grilling from allies and supporters of President Donald Trump after sparring on social media with the Department of Homeland Security.
During a concert in California on Wednesday, Cardi B joked about fighting federal immigration officers to protect her fans.
“B—-, if ICE comes in here, we’re going to jump they a—-,” she said onstage during her “Little Miss Drama” tour in Coachella Valley. “B—-, I got some bear mace in the back. They ain’t taking my fans, b—-. Let’s go!”
Her remarks prompted a scathing response from the DHS on X on Thursday, which posted: “As long as she doesn’t drug and rob our agents, we’ll consider that an improvement over her past behavior.”
The reply appeared to reference comments from Cardi B in a video that resurfaced in 2019, in which she claimed that she would drug and steal from men when she worked as a stripper.
“I made the choices that I did at the time because I had very limited options,” Cardi B posted on social media that year, adding that “Whether or not they were poor choices at the time I did what I had to do to survive.”
Cardi B quickly fired back at the post, writing that “If we talking about drugs let’s talk about Epstein and friends drugging underage girls to rape them.”
