After a milder weekend, can we keep the warming trend going into the new week? Find out below…
Few snow showers possible overnight
We will be in between a couple different systems tonight; a weak one passing by to our north and a stronger, moisture laden storm to our southeast.
This will slightly increase our chance of a few snow showers overnight, especially north of Syracuse. Any snow accumulation would be very light and likely would be across the hills, especially the Tug Hill and Adirondacks.
February thaw continues
After a milder weekend, our temperatures still look to be on an upward trend. In fact, we expect to reach, if not slightly exceed 40° in Syracuse as soon as Monday.
We think the warmest day this week comes on Tuesday with highs possibly approaching 45°!
Clouds will have the upper hand in the sky Monday, but we should see at least a little sun at times and combine that with light winds and it’ll feel very comfortable, especially for mid-February.
Other than a bit of rain and higher terrain snow showers Monday night into possibly the start of Tuesday, the weather looks to remain mainly dry Tuesday too.
Chances of precipitation increase mid to late week
A wave of low pressure moves in Wednesday and Wednesday night with some rain developing by Wednesday afternoon which MAY begin as a little snow/wintry mix, especially near and north and east of Syracuse.
