Winter storm to hit part of Connecticut Sunday into Monday

A winter storm will bring some snow to Connecticut after all this weekend, the National Weather Service said.

Although earlier forecasts suggested the storm may completely miss the state, it appears Connecticut will see at least a few inches of snow in some areas by Monday morning.

According to the weather service, most of southern Connecticut will see between 1 and 3 inches of snow. The northern part of the state, however, is not expected to see much measurable snow.

«Forecast uncertainty remains high with this system,» the weather service said. «A track further north/northwest would result in widespread advisory-level snowfall across much of the area. A shift to the south would result in little, if any, snowfall.»
