Celebration of Life set to honor Camden firefighter who died while on duty

A Celebration of Life will be held this week for the Camden firefighter killed on the job.

61-year-old Howard Bennett died last Thursday after he fell into the icy waters of the Delaware River.

Officials say he was doing a routine maintenance check of a fire boat at the time.

A private viewing for family and friends is set for this Wednesday, February 11.

A public service will follow at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion.
