LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A driver was threatened when a Kentucky truck driver allegedly pointed a gun at them on the Pennsylvania Turnpike on Tuesday, State Police said.

Pennsylvania State Police said in court documents, 56-year-old Bobby Joe Peele faces charges from the road rage incident on I-76 near mile marker 261 Eastbound in South Londonderry Township, just before 9:30 p.m. State Police said Peele was driving a red Freightliner that was hauling a HAZMAT tanker trailer.

When both vehicles that were involved in the alleged incident were pulled over, Peele told Troopers there was a black pistol inside the truck, State Police detailed in court documents. Troopers did find the gun, which was a 9mm, semi-automatic Glock 19.

The driver reported to Troopers how Peele allegedly moved from the right lane to the left lane and right in front of the alleged victim. Peele then “straddled” the center line before moving back to the right lane.

State Police said that as the other driver was passing by, Peele allegedly pointed the middle finger when his window was right next to the other driver’s passenger’s side window. The inside lights of the truck were turned on at the time.

Eventually, Peele allegedly sped up next to the victim and was waving a gun before he allegedly pointed it directly at the other driver, court documents show.
